Not usually political but
GOrdon Brown's Labour Government has suffered the worst local election results in NINETY YEARS. Good. What a bunch of crooks. They're the kind of people that need permanently demoting.
Do you remember in one of the Hitchhikers Guide books, an advanced planet decides that it doesn;t want to deal with all the useless bastards anymore and sends them off on a doomed mission into space to find land? Sounds fun. (Let's ignore the fact that these turned out to be our ancestors and that everyone on their home planet died of a disease, thanks to the lack of telephone sanitisers). This government is so piss-poor its actually funny. But not.

Who though do you want to replace him and his party? Nightmare if Cameron got in...have you noticed how he has become, more or less, the sole spokesperson for the Conservatives...the other members of the Opposition are being kept out of the picture because the same old hard liners and semi-fascists that's always made up the party are still there...The Liberals have elected a clone of Tony Blair in Clegg...and we believed he was good when he was first elected and turned out to be a megalomaniac with a messianic complex...Brown has been trying to be what he isn't to please his advisors and the public, namely a smiley man of the people, which he may be in private, but not in public...he's a serious man with an agenda he's not being given a chance to expound on...I'm not a Labourite anymore because Blair undid the original Labour party and produced New Labour, which is just a concoction of middle of the road policies that, in the end, please nobody...big hugs..

I think the best thing to do is just ignore them - proactivly. by that I mean do not give them the attention or power they want. We should gradually start our own process of communal decision making, just cutting them out entirely. We should all create our own tax free charities which we work for and completly ignore them. obviously I haven't thought this through entirely, but it'd be fun to see them huffing and puffing while we blissfully get on with our lives.

Yeah its about time someone sent a message to Brown and Labour that they are no longer wanted!
Of course the next party to come in are going to be just as incompetent and self serving but at least we won't have to see Browns dreadful fake smile anymore, it is just scary!-

So politics is a problem everywhere... I can only support silently, as a poor Italian who realised that her country is full of people who can't see how reality is. -_-' (and guess what? nobody voted for silvio! now everyone can only complain and complain, and for prodi the situation was the same. this is just non-sense.)

Politics isn't a problem - it's the politicians. Such is the nature of government the worst person for the job are the ones who end up in charge. If the government was run like a business every single last one of them would be fired. problem is their profit margins are not controlled by the will of the consumer, we HAVE to pay tax, so there is no incentive to spend a bit better "there's plenty more where that came from".
skelly
Totally, totally agree, it will be good to see the end of 'Incapability Brown' and his associated r'soles.
